Notes sampled downstream of bridge. Many horses. Heave sediment load - runoff from recent rains. A lot of erosion around new road and bridge Volcanic rocks (large) in stream mixed with fine sediment deposits up farther in watershed. Larch on some hillsides; gers, horses, yaks are present but stream banks look good. Grazing is less. Many taller forbs with good riparian zone. great midge stream. Alpine stream with boulders and large cobble Beautiful mountain medium gradient cobble stream. Intermittent stream. Mostly pools. The stream is medium gradient below the davaa. Much of the forest has been burned. There has been increased sediment loads from road construction in the pass. There is also an invasion of some sort of mth larva - perhaps a Noctuidae
