Remarks
ANSP 128633
remarks The original alc label lists locality as, 'banks of the Colne near Iver, Middlesex, England.' Middlesex is the name of former county and Iver is probably the city Iver Heath in Buckinghamshire County. Note with dry lot states, 'Dear W. Vanatta - i wrote W. Salisbury & here is his answer (without the trimmings) 'the shells were from the banks of the Colne near Iver, from the Middlesex bank of the river, taken from the reeds which form quite a bed of some area on marsh ground beside the river,' A. J. Peile.'
