Remarks
ANSP 212200
remarks Lectotype selected by Suter, 1913, Manual of the New Zealand Mollusca p. 190. [E. Wildner, 26 July 2018].
annotation 01, R. Robertson, 28 Dec. 1987, Littorina calignosa Gould, 1849, Proc. Boston Soc. Nat. Hist., 3: 83 not paratype. From locality (âOrange Islandâ) more specific than published type locality (âTerra [Tierra] del Fuegoâ), no indication that J. P. Couthoy collected the specimen or that specimen came to ANSP via the Smithsonian, and there exists no original label. There are two typewritten labels, both indicating that the specimen came to ANSP âex. Carpenter.â
