Remarks

remarks Baker (1963) thought that the English description in Pilsbry & Hiraseâs later paper (Conch. Mag. III, 1909: 9-13) would have different type material to the 1908 one, but that is not the case as the type series of hypostilbe included shells that were returned by Pilsbry to Hirase prior to the 1908 paper. Bakerâs lectotype therefore represents the 1908 name. PRC, 24 Jul 2015.4 paralectotypes split from this lot and recatalogued as ANSP 464869 on 7/24/2015.
