Old jars with original labels maintained in malacology alcohol collection area. Locality not found. Anatomical notes are in notebook 1:38-39. Female examined Aug. 1856. Anatomical notes published by Lea (1858:68-69) Jour. ANSP. Johnson (1970:333) designated USNM 85995 as lectotype.
