remarks For original jar labels and alphabetical listing of taxa in jars see ANSP archive collection 201-i(a1 and a2) and for notebooks with anatomical information see archives collection 454. Alcohol collection was accessioned at ANSP as no. 372 in 1877. Old jars with original labels maintained in malacology alcohol collection area. Anatomical notes are in notebook 2:42. 1 male 3 females. Examined 19 Apr 1857. Johnson & Baker (1973:160) designated USNM 86595 as lectotype and listed ANSP 129898 as a paratype (paralectotype). Johnson (1956:122) listed MCZ 161904 as a paratype (paralectotype).
