remarks For original jar labels and alphabetical listing of taxa in jars see ANSP archive collection 201-i(a1 and a2) and for notebooks with anatomical information see archives collection 454. Alcohol collection was accessioned at ANSP as no. 372 in 1877. Old jars with original labels maintained in malacology alcohol collection area. Anatomical notes are in notebook 2:43-44. Female. Body of holotype placed in a shell of Elliptio complanata for safety by Lea. Johnson (1970:316) lists the figured holotype as USNM 85560. The holotype is USNM 85560 + ANSP A14578.
