Alcohol collection was accessioned at ANSP as no. 372 in 1877. Old jars with original labels maintained in malacology alcohol collection area. Anatomical notes are in notebook 3:10-11. Gravid female. Anatomical notes published by Lea (1859:206, pl. 24, fig. 88, 88a) soft anatomy figured in fig 88a. Lea placed body in shell of Elliptio complanata for safety. Johnson (1974:116) noted 'figured type probably USNM 85145' and listed a male syntype.
