remarks For original jar labels and alphabetical listing of taxa in jars see ANSP archive collection 201-i(a1 and a2) and for notebooks with anatomical information see archives collection 454. Alcohol collection was accessioned at ANSP as no. 372 in 1877. Old jars with original labels maintained in malacology alcohol collection area. Anatomical notes are in notebook 4:26-27. 2 females, 1 male, 1 young. Anatomical notes published by Lea (1863:439) Jour. ANSP. Unio nashvillianus Lea 1834 changed in notebook 4:26 to nashvillensis sometime in 1858 and the emendation used by Lea (1861:71, Jour. ANSP) with no discussion. This is an unjustified emendation (ICZN 33(b)(iii)). Unio nashvillianus lea, 1861 is a junior synonym of Ligumia subrostrata, however, the specimens are Villosa lienosa.
