remarks For original jar labels and alphabetical listing of taxa in jars see ANSP archive collection 201-i(a1 and a2) and for notebooks with anatomical information see archives collection 454. Alcohol collection was accessioned at ANSP as no. 372 in 1877. Old jars with original labels maintained in malacology alcohol collection area. Specimens were sent from Uniontown, Alabama, June 1860. Locality on jar is Uniontown, where Showalter lived, but notebook 4 lists most of the specimens from Wetumpka. Anatomical notes are in notebook 5:10. 1 female examined 30 Dec 1860. Johnson & Baker (1973:169) designated USNM 84381 as lectotype and listed ANSP 127621 as a paratype (paralectotype).
