remarks Davis shell type 7. Alc shell material corresponding to this lot is in A8404. Some of the shells in the dry lot were treated with Clorox. The heads of specimens nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 17 are in alc. All but no. 17 were rehydrated. On dissection, 795 embryos were obtained from specimen no. 8.Some of these are in the dry lot vial no. 8, along with a vial of less than two whorl embryos. Some embryos were lost in handling. The embryos were previously treated with Clorox and stored in water.
