Remarks
ANSP 28883
remarks Not a type of bifasciata, Deshayes. Deshayes had only one specimen to hand at time of description. Probably not a type of Cancelliaria oblonga, Sowerby (1825). Sowerby first described this species in a catalogue of shells of the Earl of Tankerville (p. xv.). It seems unlikely he had these specimens to hand at time of description. These specimens may have been used as reference for the figures within the Conchological Illustrations (fig. 19). [E. Wildner, 24 August 2018].
