Among millions of clams washed up in early January, deposited mile after mile from at least Ventnor to Avalon. Piled in ridges & waves from 6" to 3' deep in Sea Isle. Up to 4' of sand washed out. Lunatia, Polinices duplicatus, Busycon canaliculatum, Busycon carica and battered Ensis directus were present - Polinices in large numbers.
