remarks Baker divided station J39 into J39a and J39b. Station J39: 29 and 31 Aug 1933; west of Haining in eastern end of John Crow Hills, near Portland/St. Thomas Parish boundary. Station J39a: 29 Aug 1933; 18 00 --N 076 18 --W; north-facing slopes and huge blocks on a summit back of Greenfield, Portland Parish. Station J39b: 31 Aug 1933; 18 00 --N 076 19 --W; canyon-ravine to crest where big fan-palms and tree-ferns prevail, John Crow Hills, Portland/St. Thomas Parish boundary. Coordinates: 18 00 --N 076 19 --W. ANSP 165750 may be corresponding dry lot to alc lots A12682g + A12682h. For reasons unknown at this time, Baker had segregated these specimens, and lots currently maintain this segregation. Dry lot consists of 5 shells labeled '39'; 8 shells labeled '39a'; and 1 shell labeled '39b'. original alc label states 'J39 Hai 8-29-33 Cep. (Dialeuca) subconica (CBA.)'.
