Distribution

continental slopes off central Japan, from vicinity of Choshi (Chiba prefecture) in east, southwest along Boso Peninsula; south to Bonin (Ogasawara) Archipelago, west to Daio-Zaki. Small population off northeastern Taiwan. (Anseeuw1996)
